Do I get a tax refund on an RPP (line 20 on a T4) in Canada? - rpp contributions
He wanted to know whether a contribution of RPP (line 20) on my T4 would generate a tax refund. Otherwise, it lowers the passive income? (Let's say I have my 50K and RPP box on line 20, "said my T4 with only 3K pay taxes on 47K)?.

This is a deduction from their income and thus taxes.
Deduct on line 207 of your T1. Follow the instructions in the Tax Guide.
Whether you get a refund depends on how much tax you withhold your employer.
