How can I take professional wedding photos? - photos wedding travestites

I was asked to take pictures of friends at a wedding reception. I am not a professional photographer, but I like photography and a Canon 20D camera with standard lens Canon 18X55 and 28x200mm zoom lens. I have no additional flash equipment, everything I said here. The reception will be at dusk / night. Candids everything I want, but I wish they were as professional as possible. Advice and suggestions that you think?
